Shore excursion Split Croatia – Color your day with UNESCO cities
Domestic people consider Split one of the most cities in the world. In favour of this claim, UNESCO gave us one of the strongest evidences – historical core and the Palace of Diocletian were listed on the World Heritage list in 1979.
Let the present behind and go back to the past. Walk around the narrow streets of Diocletian’s Palace. Visit the ancient Peristil Squares and feel like a true emperor on this place. Visit the ruins of his private chambers and mausoleum, Roman temples, and the Golden and Silver gates. Let our guide lead your way through the Palace and then out of it to show its historic squares, streets, markets and the famous seafront.
Furthermore, after a brief time-out, we will continue our journey through history towards Trogir. It is a small, well preserved town sandwiched between Croatia’s mainland and the island of Čiovo. It is hard to find another town on the Mediterranean as small as Trogir and as rich in respect of the cultural heritage. This small town is a mosaic of monuments that date from the ancient Greek period to the Middle Ages. Stroll through the streets of this charming little town. Admire an undeniable masterpiece of the Cathedral of St. Lawrence and the famous Romanesque Portal of Radovan. Insure yourselves to spend your holiday learning and having fun at the same time!
